Board of Governors

The German European School Association is a private body whose main object is to maintain and enhance the interests of GESS. The members of the Association are mostly parents of GESS students.

The Board of Governors oversees and has overall responsibility for GESS. It works closely with the School Management, which is responsible for the day to day running of the school. The role of the Board lies in strategic direction and development of long-term goals for the school to ensure that children and teachers have the tools and infrastructure required to receive / provide a high quality education and learning experience.

All members of the Board are non-executive and work on an honorary basis. The Board of Governors comprises 10 Members, 8 of whom are elected by the members at the Annual General Meeting of the Association, and two of whom are appointed by the Board. All of the Board members are parents of GESS students.
